✒VERDICT
🥇Pros:
1) I can only applaud the decisive and factual manner with which Mr Vinod Rai has enumerated the context and what lead to his appointment as a part of Committee of Administrators to implement the rulings of Supreme in the governance of BCCI.
2) It was endearing to see the personal touch the author added amidst the documented facts. His love for this game of cricket, followed and revered by millions in India as a religion, propelled him to act tough and ensure that BCCI officials shouldn't consider this organisation as their personal backyard and corrupt the game of cricket. This sentiment of love for the game and motivation for fair play were their throughout the text of this book.
3) I can only sit back and admire the poise and grace of the writing style of Mr Vinod Rai while he elucidated on the ugly and hopeful side of BCCI. His command over his thoughts reflected on the way he has written this book which showed why he is so widely respected among the echelons of bureaucrats.
💫Overall, Not Just A Nightwatchman was an illuminating read which highlighted the underlying venom that was mixed to corrupt our favourite game and what corrective measures where taken to siphon off that venom by the erudite bureaucrats of India.
